What is the Josh and Souk Jerman Foundation

The Josh and Souk Jerman Foundation was established to provide assistance to deserving charities and nonprofit organizations throughout Maui County. The Foundation has contributed to a number of organizations, including Maui Arts & Cultural Center, YMCA Maui, Maui AIDS Foundation, Whale Trust, Nature Conservancy of Hawai‘i, Women Helping Women, Ka Lima O Maui, Boys and Girls Club, Haleakala Waldorf School, Carden Academy, and Seabury Hall, to name a few.  The foundation has been the sponsor of the Maui Women’s Golf Championship for the past few years as well.

The Josh and Souk Jerman Foundation also provides scholarships (formerly the Josh Jerman Maui Nui Scholarship) to college-bound students who will attend an accredited four-year college or university. Now in its 20th consecutive year, the program has awarded more than $75,000 in scholarships to Maui, Moloka‘i and Lāna‘i high school seniors who have displayed a passion for returning to Maui County after college to contribute to the community.  The Foundation was built upon the principle that education is key to both individual success and the health of our community, and since its inception, the program has created an immeasurable impact on the lives of scholarship recipients.

Josh Jerman, an award-winning, top-producing real estate broker on Maui since 2004 and his wife, Souksamlane are the founders of the Josh and Souk Jerman Foundation Scholarship program. To learn more or to apply for the scholarship, visit www.jermanfoundation.org.
